Welcome!

We are excited to grow our audience and want to make sure that all patrons have an exciting and enjoyable experience. If you don't find an answer here, please let us know so that we can address your question and add it to this page.

  • Where is my ticket?

The CSO does not provide or require physical tickets. If you purchase your ticket in advance online, your name will be recorded. If you wait until the day of the concert to purchase online, you may want to have the digital receipt available on your mobile device (or in print if desired). Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

  • What should I wear?

While there is no dress code for our events, we find that many of our guests wear what we might call "business casual" or "Sunday" clothing - think school picture day. Our musicians will be wearing their concert black.

  • How do I find my seat?

Seating is open and unassigned. If you require an accommodation, please view our accessibility information and contact us for further questions/concerns. We recommend that you arrive at least fifteen minutes early to find the seat of your choosing.

  • When do I clap?

When in doubt - wait and observe those around you for cues. Applause are traditionally given when the conductor walks on stage, as well as the concert master (the person who walks out with the violin). Applause are then given between musical pieces, but not movements. If you aren't sure the entire musical piece is finished, watch the conductor for cues. They will likely put their arms down and face the audience.

  • Can I take pictures or record videos?

We welcome you to take pictures of our musicians as long as you remain in your seat and do not use flash photography. The best opportunity for pictures is immediately following the concert.

We ask that you please do not record any video or audio at our concerts due to copyright law.

  • Do you have concessions?

The CSO musicians provide a complimentary post-concert reception of desserts and drinks. If you are looking for lunch or dinner options, we recommend that you visit any of the downtown Columbus eatery options.
