Greetings to Germany, England, and France! Along with a performance by the winner of the 2025 Laura Showalter Youth Concerto Competition, the CSO will present an evening of favorites inspired by the young, school settings, and even graduation day! Both the Academic Festival Overture by Brahms and the Pomp and Circumstance Marches have been used in academic ceremonies including most American high school graduations. Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite includes some of your favorite fairytales including Beauty and the Beast! If you have many more years under your belt, don’t be shy, this concert is for you too. Symphony Series III is for the young and the young at heart.
